Warm, delicate sounds and interpretation remember us that this music was not composed for concert halls. Fang-Lin Hou said: One of the first recordings of "the 48" to change between harpsichord, clavichord, chamber organ and fortepiano (book II only), and for this listener it beautifully illustrates the many-faceted character of these pieces. Chorzempa's playing here is totally adequate, if a bit too mild (I imagine) for some tastes. This is, however, certainly stuff that bears repeated listening.
