The organ in the Cathedral of Regensburg/Germany that is played here is a very good instrument built 1989 by Mathis/Switzerland and Franz Josef Stoiber uses the chance to show a broad range of its abilities. After each chorale prelude the corresponding chorale is sung by the "Regensburger Domspatzen" boys' choir. Due to the size of the Cathedral, a lot of reverberation has been recorded together with the music but this does not mean that musical details have been lost - in fact, the organ still sounds very clear and exact (congratulations to the sound engineer). The booklet is in German and English and includes some interesting details about the Cathedral, its organ and its choir.
