Manuel Barrueco's performance of the Prelude Fugue and Allegro is excellent. He plays it in the original key of E flat major. His playing is absolutely flawless, and the recording is very crisp and clear. His rendition of the Chaconne is also definitely worth listening to with attention.
Here, Barrueco demonstrates his mastery of the classical guitars beloved technical and musical qualities. Especially on the chaconne, one notices Barrueco's carefully attention to dynamics, tone, and articulation to each line during the most difficult of sections. Everything is considered. Nothing is left uncertainly executed. This is one of the finest recordings of some of the most loved of Bach's works.
