Bach was a great admirer of Vivaldi and transcribed many of his, and other composers', concerti for performance on keyboard. This is a delightful performance in every aspect. While some harpsichord recordings can be boring from a lack of energy, or frenetic from too much energy, Olivier Baumont's performance is an excellent balance of vibrancy and elegance.
