A lovely recording of these concertos that exist in various forms for solo instrument, reconstructed from the originals for harpsichord. The use of violin and oboe for the double harpsichord concerto BWV 1060 is extraordinary. Biondi's playing is lyrical and passionate with lovely phrasing. His rich vibrato and legato style are not strictly HIP and, frankly, I prefer it. The tempos are not too fast, which is also a nice change from the HIP style. I really enjoyed this recording and highly recommend it.
