This performance by Biondi and Alessandrini is excellent. There are a few exceptions of movements being too fast, and ornamentation being excessive. But Biondi does live up to his reputation and his playing is exquisite. Lots of vibrato makes for a romantic performance; the results are lyrical and sweet. The recorded sound is very nice, not too much reverb and a good balance of the two instruments. Recommended. |
