The work bears the inscription "Aria Soprano Solo " Ritornello" and is set as a strophic aria. This work was written in 1713 to celebrate the 53rd birthday of Duke Willhelm-Ernst of Saxe-Weimar. This aria is scored for soprano [Lisa Larson] Strings & Continuo and is about 17 minutes long. Each of the 4 strophs is preceeded by a 52 bar prelude.
