The Best recording that has been made from Mattheus Passion. The soprano, Emma Kirkby is fabulous, she really can see what Bach and mainly her arias are about. David Thomas on the other hand has done better work before. I dont understand why he has left the more natural voice and stared unsing a more Shubert kind of voice. The recording in general is more than satisfying.

A great recording not like the one of John elliot Gardiner, but good soloists good orchestra and also the choir is ok. You should buy because the price is very low ($20) |
