Don't let the low, budget price fool you. The recording is splendid, and it is well worth your listening time. Just listen to the sheer energy the great Leonhardt puts out with the 1st movement of the 3rd suite. That piece alone is worth the entire disc, but all works are worth while. Since the Huguette Dreyfus (Archiv 427146) is now deleted, this should be a perfect alternative, and if sales are good enough, this should be availiable for many years to come. Look for the French Suites on Sony Seon series later this year. French Suites has already been released in Europe, but I anticipate a US release later this year.
