The opening Prelude and Fugue left me eager to hear more of the Well Tempered Clavier from this performer. The remainder of the disc hardly disappoints, and contains perhaps the most attractive performance of the allemande from BWV 816 that I have yet heard. It is refreshing to hear Bach played on the harpsichord by one of the younger generation of performers. I recommend this disc highly, especially as it is available at budget price.
