Comments:I wish Andrei Gavrilov played more Bach! His performance is so energetic and accurate. The recording of the concertos is clear and both the orchestra and soloist are excellent. The quality of the recording of French Suite No. 5 is lower due to white noise. Even so, if the only reason you want this CD is for BWV 816, it is well worth it, especially for Gavrilov's performance of the gigue.
