I found the playing to be well-nigh impeccable in intonation with crisp, dance-like rhythms in dance movements. Slow movements don't drag and hold tension in melody nicely. Excellent live sound without muddled reverb. Small baroque ensemble approach with good balance between concertante and ripieno. Trumpet in #2 executes brilliantly. Very uplifting performances w/authentic baroque ensemble. |
