The trumpets in the Magnificat are superb, the soloists, particularly Gerard Lesne, shine, and, being a bit of a pedant, I really DO appreciate the use of the Germanic Latin pronunciation! Ein feste Burg is a cantata I'd not come across before I bought this recording in 1990. I'm very glad I did; it's playing an integral part in our wedding in a couple of years. An altogether sensitive and well thought out recording; well worth that trip to the record shop.
