Bach told us "that the most important thing for a performer to keep in mind is 'eine kantable Art im Spielen zu erlangen' or to sing through the instrument. To 'sing on an instrument' is the expression originally used in Iceland for the act of playing." (booklet, p. 7) And singing on an instrument is indeed the thing that Helga Ingólfsdóttir does.
