Very nice recording of St.John´s Passion. I can ay that Haeflinger is one of the best Evangelists I have ever heard. In these passions he is wonderful, his voice is very "sad", he tells the tragic story with tragic voice. And thats how it is great! Best aria from this record is Von den Stricken, no comments can be made about it. You must hear it! Only wrong thing here are some slow chorals (about 2). I like fast chorals more, but it is on your taste, how you like it. Great recording, I can say. |
