A lovely performance of the Brandenburg Concertos. In an era where there are so many appalling performances, this one stands out as civilized, intelligent and elegant. I do not agree with all the rhythmic choices, but they are minor. The slow movements are particularly intimate and sweet and the fast movements are, thankfully, not too fast. The sound has minimal reverb, creating a nicely intimate sound. With elegant tempos, intelligent phrasing, and excellent soloists I can happily recommend this recording.
