Even if I'm not a fine expert on Bach's works (I'm just a listener and the time I can usually spend on listening to this marvellous music is always too tight) I think this release needs a mention on this site. At least for beginners as I am. The importance of the personnel involved is a guarantee; the recording quality is high enough for an average stereo equipment and the price for this double cd, part of the Emi Classics "Double fforte" catalogue, at least in Italy, all these are good reasons to include it in a "must have" discography. Sorry if I'm unable to review this release in deeper technical words; I hope someone more introduced than me will do it. |
