Comments:Jan Hanford said:

Every piano student knows these short, clever works of Bach and there are too few recordings available.

Leonhardt is one of my favorite musicians, ever. His performance of the inventions is slower than most which I really enjoy. Rather than thrashing through the counterpoint he plays elegantly, revealing the voices clearly.

The recorded sound is a little tinny but the performance makes it worthwhile.
