Newman uses the same color for most of the pieces performed, but he does play most of them lively. The "Little" Fugue in G Minor sounds a bit thin, and the playing of the famous Toccata and Fugue in D Minor is not one of the greatest. In contrast, however, Newman ends with a mighty performance of the Passacaglia and Fugue.
