With a wonderful team of singers, and a proficient group of players, this cantata is given a beautifully concise and tight performance. The intricate counterpoint of the choruses is nice and transparent, and the solo arias are all handled with great style. The recorded sound is perfect; close and with little reverberation. If you like period performance, this is your best bet, and even if you don't, this recording will not offend. Highly recommended.
