Ah, the 1980's. Before the hysteria of the HIP dogma took over and gave us performances at twice their normal speed, musicians and orchestras played music that you could savor.
I love this cd. The tempos are wonderful. Fast without sawing the violins in half. Slow and lush, sweet and sensitive; it's everything I look for in a performance of these concerti. It's truly gorgeous.
Very highly recommended. | Acknowledgements: | | Date First Submitted: | 05/09/2002 |
