Christian Mueller Organ, St. Bavo, Haarlem
Another recording of Bach■s organ pieces playing by Piet Kee. My general notes are following:
Piece d■Orgue BWV 572 ■ I prefer rather Wim van Beek■s version (plays at Schnitger Organ, St. Martini, Groningen),
Prelude & Fugue (the Wedge) in E minor BWV 548 ■ I prefer Ton Koopman■s version (plays also at Schnitger Organ, St. Martini, Groningen, Teldec, Bach Organ Works Vol. 12) but Kee plays this magnificent piece in a some specific manner ■ he changes the manuals during the playing (he uses three departments: Hoofdwerk, Bovenwerk and Rugpositief),
Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor BWV 582 ■ if you like Karl Richter■s version (plays at Gottfried Silbermann organ in Freiberg) you should pay attention on this recording ■ Kee plays this piece in very expressive way.
