We are before one of the best recordings in these suites for solo cello of Bach. In this occasion we have as artist to Rostropovich which is one of the best cellists in the world. Another fact that it is necessary to recognize of this interpretation is that in her, Rostropovich bases his interpretation on the copy of an original manuscript of Anna Magdalena Bach, making with this the interpretation near to a historical interpretation. Of the whole recording it is necessary to highlight the prelude and the sarabande of the second suite, the prelude, the bourree and the gigue of the third suite besides the whole sixth suite, which should be considered according to Rostropovich like a symphony for solo cello.
