| Comments: | This is the first recording in which the intonation is as close to ideal as possible. Emphasis was given to capturing the spirit of hte original music. This is the first recording of these suites in the west coast.
I am a student of Starker and Parrisot. All my life I have heard many artists strugelling with the suites. What is unique about this recording is the totally new attitude towards intonation. Sure you may agree or disagree with me musically artistically and any other way, which I wellcome. However my idea is that a not that belongs to the 1st degree of the key or the 3rd or 4thetc, should sound different. A g as a root of g major or a G in an E minor chord or a Gwhich is the 7th of
the chord, should sound totally different. You have to hear it to believe it |
