Comments:David Perrine said: I'm not a fan of baroque instruments, but Pine coaxes a very agreeable sound out of her Nicola Gagliano. Only on the rare fortissimos does it become raspy. Her interpreations are very musical, relaxed, and free from artifice. I will duly note a few slightly out of tune notes scattered across the disk, but these are inconsequential. Beautiful performances of the G Minor Sonata and the D Minor Partita along with some attractive solo pieces by three contemporaries: Westhoff, Biber, and Pisendel.
