This excellent disc is, surprisingly NOT listed at this site. It is in my opinion together with Gardiner's and Jacob's indeed a very good version and to me it has it all. Conducting, tempi is extraordinary well judged, music is well played, choir and solists fantastic and this is, needless to say, because of what already is told, a disc I put on not only for Christmas. Sound is fine and this is one of the top Bach discs out there and is for me in the same (nearly) league as Harnoncourt's St Matthew from 2001. A must have for any music and Bach lover.
