Since 1970 he has performed throughout Europe as harpsichordist, organist, conductor, stage director and singer. His recordings have been awarded the following prizes: Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik (Frescobaldi Toccatas) Choc du Monde de la Musique (Frescobaldi Capriccios) Diapason d'Or (Luzzaschi madrigals) At present he holds the post of maestro di cappella at the Basilica of S. Petronio in Bologna and teaches harpsichord at the Conservatorio of Mantua.
