Cantata 199 is not a very melodic work, though it does have a pleasant, sometimes unusual texture, as in the "chorale con viola obbligato". Cantata 202, the well-known "Wedding Cantata", is performed cleanly and delightfully. Cantata 209 is one of two surviving Italian cantatas by Bach, introduced by a lively Sinfonia for flute and orchestra.
