Wispelwey plays a baroque cello (Barak Norman 1710) and violoncello piccolo (anon. 18th century) on this disc. If you enjoy Bylsma's two recordings of the cello suites (I can't decide which of the two is my favorite), one will certainly enjoy this one. The recorded sound is fantastic, better than the earlier recording. Very highly reccomended.
